The Classic Tour is designed for ardent travellers who want to be escorted by local guides, this tour will uncover the zest of Sri Lanka from Buddhist archaeological sites, such as Dambulla Rock Temple, ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, and the once royal city of Kandy which houses the Tooth relic of Buddha. Discover plentiful secret bays, Mosques, Buddhist Statues, and rock fortresses. Explore this country, still untouched by mass tourism with deep-rooted traditions with tea plantations and luxurious eco-resorts from the colonial era. At the end, a gesture of last-minute shopping and a tour of the capital will entice you into a whole world of beauty and wonder.
Upon your arrival in Colombo, you will be warmly greeted by our chauffeur cum guide who will take you to Habarana, a city that gallantly rises with its legendary forests, waterways, and wildlife with a splendid array of interesting places around.
The afternoon can be spent relaxing at the hotel and its wellness center enjoy a forest safari to sightsee the herds of elephants or indulge in an unforgettable village tour and be treated to a tropical lunch from the villages (optional).
Dinner and overnight stay in Habarana
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and be transferred to Sigiriya, known as the best-preserved royal city center in Asia since the first millennium. You will be enchanted by the prestigious rise of the 200-meter rock fortress, with its combination of buildings, trees, pathways, and water gardens built gallantly by King Kashyapa (477AD – 495 AD).
After a delectable tropical local lunch, you will experience Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka, which rests on the banks of the lake Parakrama Samudra. You will be amazed by the ancient ruins of spectacular Royal Palaces and many monuments preserved as a UNESCO site. Return to Habarana and as an option, you can enjoy the safari to Minneriya to witness wild elephants.

Upon having breakfast, you will be escorted to Dambulla, infamous for its golden rock temple located on a cliff of a hundred meters formed by 5 sanctuaries that entwine many caves. From Dambulla, we would proceed to the hillside royal city of Kandy and en route pay a visit to the spice garden that would allow you to encounter a spectrum of spices.
Upon your arrival in Kandy, you would be delighted to venture on a City tour for shopping with a visit to a batik and semi-precious stone factory, after visiting the temple of tooth and enjoy the sights and sounds of the cultural show in the evening. After, will return to the hotel.

After Breakfast you will enjoy an excursion to Peradeniya which houses the famous botanical gardens endowed with spices, trees and plants renowned in traditional Ayurvedic medicine and also indulge in the orchid house with more than 300 varieties of orchids. You will then travel to Pinnawela, where you can visit the elephant orphanage. After lunch, you may return to Kandy for shopping with a visit to a batik and semi-precious stone factory

After breakfast, you will be escorted to Nuwara Eliya, also defined as ” little England” for its magnificent heights and beautiful scenery that surrounds it. Take a stroll amidst the fresh smell of tea bushes before you are driven to Ramboda Falls and a tea factory alongside a lush tea plantation before lunch. You can enjoy a lot more of Nuwara Eliya in the span of this afternoon.

After breakfast, we will escort you to the capital of Colombo whilst en route you can pay an exciting visit to Kithulgala famous for White water rafting. You would arrive in Colombo and take a city tour with Pettah (the bazaar of Colombo), and the Fort (so-called because it was the seat of the Portuguese, Dutch, and English garrisons) being a few of the main sites to visit. After you will be transferred to Negombo the fishing village for your overnight stay where you visit the vibrant fishing village and the town of Negombo during this afternoon and enjoy a sizzling hot plate of fresh seafood served by our staff.

After breakfast, you would be taken to the airport for your departure flight back home.

The bookings for tickets by train to Nanu Oya and Ella are subject to availability.
Travel insurance is not included in this “The Wonder of the Island”. Since Travel insurance is a mandatory fact as such, we recommend that you obtain insurance coverage from Allianz Insurance or any other company in your country.
Being the destination management company in Sri Lanka, we have the insurance cover applicable for the tour operator liability insurance from the Allianz Insurance which covers areas such as Rafting, Hot Air Balloon, Tracking, Zip Line, Whale Watching, Safari, Biking, Hiking, Fishing, Boat Riding, Water Sports and Camping.
Since your beach holiday is based on Southern Coastal beaches in Sri Lanka, we recommend that you undertake this tour from November to April where you can enjoy crystal beaches for sunbathing.
For this Sri Lanka Classic tour obtaining the required visa(s) is the responsibility of each individual traveller, since the visa requirements vary depending on your nationality we recommend that you check the website www.eta.gov.lk for more information with regard to your visa to visit Sri Lanka.

Please note that in the event of local conditions that will prevail at the time of your travel owing to unforeseen circumstances, we will be compelled to make modifications to the tour contents without prior notice.
Prices per person sharing a double room for groups of minimum 3 pax and above.
To confirm the tour, we require an advance payment of 30%, and the balance payment should be settled fourteen days prior to arrival.
For final confirmation of last-minute bookings and the hotel confirmation subject to availability at the time of receiving the payment to our bank account.
In the event of a hotel/s is fully booked and a reservation is cancelled due to payment not received at least 14 days prior to arrival date, we will re-book the hotel/s and confirmation will be subject to availability at that time.

Any cancellation should be notified in writing, 10 days prior to the arrival date, 25% would be charged, for cancellations made within 7 days, and for ‘No Show’ 100 % would be charged. For any arrivals from 20 December to 10 January full payment is required.
